Why we're rising against hunger
New Crop, Moringa, Brings Opportunity
Farmers Empowered in India
To increase incomes and food access for farmers in Bihar, India, Rise Against Hunger, Rise Against Hunger India and a local partner are aiding in the introduction of a new crop, Moringa, and training farmers on its production. The crop, rich in nutrients, can be harvested more frequently than rice and wheat, and its leaves can also be ground into feed for livestock. Our aim is to increase the per acre income of farmers and their families and increase return on livestock raised on Moringa feed.
