Volunteer Worldwide: Push beyond your boundaries and see what a difference you make!
Support Rise Against Hunger’s ongoing work to feed the world’s most vulnerable through a Global Volunteers short-term service program, called Journey to Serve. By participating at an impact site, similar to locations where Rise Against Hunger’s meals are distributed, volunteers help children, families, and communities thrive while experiencing a new culture — in just one, two or three weeks.
Since 1984, more than 34,000 Global Volunteers of all ages and from all walks of life have provided nearly 2.4 million hours of volunteer service in 34 countries on six continents. The impact is significant, but much work still remains.
You can be certain your help is needed and wanted worldwide, because Global Volunteers only works at the invitation and under the direction of local partners, and only hand-in-hand with local people. Each service program engages you in important community development projects, such as teaching conversational English, caring for at-risk children and families, planting and maintaining household and community gardens, participating in public health education, repairing clinics and classrooms, tutoring at local schools— and so much more.
And better yet, as part of the Rise Against Hunger — Global Volunteers’ partnership, Journey to Serve, you will receive a $200 discount off your first service program contribution*. Learn how your one, two, or three-week commitment can help you take the next steps on your journey of the heart into deeper service.
*Global Volunteers’ service program is all-inclusive, and the trip cost is tax-deductible. Trips include three healthy meals per day, comfortable accommodations, ground transportation, team leadership, project materials, and program coordination. A portion of your trip price will support Rise Against Hunger’s hunger eradication efforts worldwide.
